Only 100 Free SMS's a Day from 20th of November
As per TRAI's Fifty Fourth Amendment Updated THE TELECOMMUNICATION TARIFF Order, 2012 which will effect from 20 November 2012.
According to this Update, The Tariff will be for SMS:

| 2. Every SMS beyond one hundred SMS per SIM per day | Not Less Than 50 paisa/SMS But Telecom Companies(TATA,AIRTEL,IDEA) Usually Charge Re.1/SMS for Local SMS and Rs.1.5/SMS for National SMS |
So From 20th November 2012, You can send 100 SMS Free if you have activate any SMS usage pack, when your 100 SMS limit exceeded then your Service provider charge you Re.1/SMS for Local SMS and Rs.1.5/SMS for National SMS.
PS: It can be 50 Paisa/SMS for your Service provider As TRAI's SMS Tariff is "Not Less Than 50 Paisa/SMS after 100 SMS a Day". So do confirm before Smsing over 100's SMS.
Now, there seems to be bad news for all the SMS fans or Heavy SMS Users! Indian Telecom regulator Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) today issue new regulation for SMS service and the limit of per day per SIM at concessional rates has been reduced to hundred SMS (100 SMS) per day per SIM for prepaid users to curb the unsolicited SMSes.
TRAI has prescribed a tariff of minimum Fifty paisa (50p/SMS) for such SMSs beyond the limit of 100 SMS per day per SIM. The changes effected by the regulations and the order have to be implemented within fifteen days.
Presently service providers offer a large number of concessional SMS packs and tariff plans for bulk SMS users. These SMS packs and tariff plans are being misused by unregistered telemarketers to send promotional SMSs to consumers.
To prevent unregistered telemarketers from misusing such SMS packs or tariff plans for sending bulk promotional SMSs, a price restraint has been placed on sending of more than one hundred SMS per day per SIM at a concessional rate
The Telecom Company send SMS's to their customer for this change, as I use TATA DOCOMO I have received the Same Message:
"As per TRAI rules from 20-Nov-12, SMS pack & free user can get 100 discounted & free SMS/day, Thereafter SMS will be charged as Local@Re1 and National@Rs.1.5"
